“If the nuclear family of his parents has been explained since the first day and every step taken by this team is all communicated with the family. And the family has agreed, then we only work. But sometimes in every disaster there are only parties who have just come like that,” Suharyanto said at the Emergency Post, Sidoarjo, Saturday (4/10).
He explained, family impatience naturally arose because the process of evacuation and removal of ruins does require time.The DVI and Inavis team must also work carefully to ensure the identity of the body.
“He (his family) saw on the field ‘how come there is not much’. ‘How come it doesn’t seem to work’, and he asked to enter. Now we have anticipated this, we explained, including last night, it has also been explained in detail the identification process carried out by DVI, Inavis, it only takes time,” he said.
Suharyanto also made sure there were no obstacles in the mobilization of equipment.Even heavy equipment is deployed massively to accelerate the cleaning of ruins.

The family is directed to wait at Bhayangkara Hospital
In addition, to reduce family unrest, BNPB made a new decision, the family or santri guardian is now directed to wait at the East Java Regional Police Bhayangkara Hospital in Surabaya.
In the hospital, facilities and logistics are more adequate than the emergency post.
“Now we have decided that we will collect them and they better wait at Bhayangkara Hospital. It has been prepared a more representative place, logistics is also adequate, so that in the midst of their disaster they will be more calm, more facilities are more adequate in passing the days when waiting for the identification of family members who are still in the process,” he said.
Suharyanto asserted, the SAR team’s work should not be hampered by the actions of those who tried to take their own steps.He asked the victims’ families and the wider community to give full confidence to officers who were working optimally.
“We also ask for our support not to be preoccupied with things outside of the search for this help with actions like that, they do not believe in the authorities, want to take themselves, it actually actually disrupts the process of searching for help that has been carried out as much as possible,” he stressed.
