German Munich Airport was closed after a series of Seliweran drones

The airport was then reopened on Friday (3/10) morning local time.

The airport stated that as many as 17 flights were canceled around 22:00 at night local time.In addition, 15 flights were also diverted to other cities, namely Stuttgart, Nuremberg, and Frankfurt.
There are also flights transferred to Vienna in neighboring Austria.
A call officer who handled passenger questions at Munich Airport told

that a number of flights are currently still waiting to take off.
“Some flights are still waiting to take off, the others have been canceled. Everything is controlled and the airport is scheduled to reopen at 05.00 am,” he said.
Munich Airport is the center of the German national airline Lufthansa, and serves nearly 20 million passengers in the first half of this year.
The airport in Bavaria, South Germany, is the latest European airport that is closed by a drone.
Last week, the airport in Denmark was closed after the country detected the existence of flying drones around.This incident made Denmark prohibit all civil servants’ flight activities along with the close schedule of the European Union’s High Level Conference (Summit) which will be held in Copenhagen.Germany hosts this summit.
Denmark Mette Prime Minister Frederiksen indicated that the emergence of drones in his territory was likely to be a Russian action.He said only Russia was the only country that could spread threats to European countries.
Russia in the meantime has denied involved in the emergence of this drone.
