, Bantul, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY), Wednesday (5/11).
“We have agreed that the funeral will be on Wednesday the 5th, we will start the ceremony at 8 am,” said Pakubuwono XIII’s sister, GKR Koes Moertiyah Wandansari.
Quoting the official website of the DIY Culture Service, the Imogiri Tomb Complex or Pajimatan Imogiri is the burial ground for kings and the extended family of the Islamic Mataram Dynasty.

The complex is divided into three large groups, namely the group of tombs of the Kings of Mataram Islam, the group of tombs of the Kings of the Yogyakarta Sultanate, and the group of tombs of the Kings of Kasunanan Surakarta.
Meanwhile, the Regent of Pajimatan, the Tomb of the Special Imogiri Kings of Surakarta, Kanjeng Pangeran Haryo (KPH) Joyo Adilogo, said that the Imogiri burial complex will remain open to visitors today.
However, there are areas that are not freely accessible while the PB XIII funeral procession at Kedhaton Girimulyo is running.
“If visitors come, we are not closing completely, but they are not allowed to enter here (the burial location) automatically, before the event is finished. It is sterile (for the public), especially for families,” said KPH Joyo.

Pakubuwono XIII died at around 07.30 WIB.Before being sent to his final resting place, Pakubuwono XIII’s body will be taken using the special Rata Pralaya train to the Solo Mayor’s Official Residence at Loji Gandrung.
After that, they were transferred to a hearse to be taken to Imogiri.
Bantul Police asked motorists to avoid the PB XIII funeral procession route.
The group’s travel route when entering Bantul to go to the Imogiri cemetery is Jalan Raya Janti (Blok O), Ketandan, Karangturi, Gondowulung, Jalan Imogiri Timur to Pajimatan, Imogiri.
Police asked motorists to avoid this section of road.This is to avoid traffic jams and also support the smooth running of the PB XIII funeral procession in Imogiri.
