The examination which lasted for approximately six and a half hours also explored Isran’s statement related to the management of PT Kutai Timur Energi (KTE) Regional -Owned Enterprises (KTE) funds when he served as the Regent of East Kutai.
Isran explained that this was the second time he was examined related to the KTE case.However, he prime was examined in a case of alleged Dbon corruption which ensnared two suspects.
The former Chairperson of the All Indonesia Regency Government Association (APKASI) stated that he was cooperative and gave all the explanations needed by the Prosecutor’s Office.
He confirmed his role as governor who signed a decree (SK) related to Dbon.
“Yes, asked the task as a governor who signed the Dbon Decree, yes, I signed it,” he said.
Regarding the determination of the suspect who was a former subordinate, namely the Head of the East Kalimantan Youth and Sports Agency (Kadispora) with the initials AHK and the Head of the East Kalimantan DBON Secretariat with the initials ZZ, Isran expressed his concern.
“Yes, we whose names are all people who are definitely concerned, hopefully they are given an ease, smooth,” he said.
Previously, the East Kalimantan Prosecutor’s Office had arrested AHK and ZZ regarding the alleged corruption of DBON grant funds worth Rp100 billion from the 2023 APBD.
According to the Head of the East Kalimantan Attorney General’s Legal Information Section Toni Yuswanto, the actions of the suspects in the process of managing the grant funds were alleged to have caused state financial losses of up to tens of billions of rupiah.
The two suspects were charged under Article 2 paragraph (1) and Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of the Corruption Eradication Law.
