Flood Update Bali: 18 Killed, 2 missing, 659 people affected

) said 16 people were reported to have died and two others were still in search of floods in
Bali Province
per Friday (12/9).
“This disaster caused deep sorrow with 18 people died, two people were still in search,” said the Head of the BNPB Disaster Information, Information and Communication Center, Abdul Muhari in his statement, Friday afternoon.
“The missing victims are still being sought by Basarnas,” he continued.
In addition, BNPB also reported 214 family heads (KK) or 659 affected people and 185 people were displaced due to the flood disaster.
Muhari said the Bali Provincial Government ensured that the emergency response period in effect until 17 September would be focused on initial recovery.
Including repair of bridges, damaged roads, and a broken wrapped wall.
“Emergency handling and recovery in the affected areas are still running with top priorities to save victims, provide logistics assistance, and improve infrastructure damaged by this great flood,” he said.
Muhari said based on reports on Thursday (11/9) yesterday, puddles in seven regencies/cities in Bali had begun to recede, so that the main road access slowly opened again.
“The joint team of BPBD, TNI, Polri, and volunteers continue to move quickly to clean up the debris, repair damaged facilities, and evacuate residents who are still trapped,” he said.
