The United States Federal Investigation Bureau (FBI) stated that DNA found at the shooting location of Charlie Kirk, was suitable for DNA suspect Tyler Robinson.
Robinson (22) was arrested on Thursday (12/9) after the fugitive for 33 hours.He is expected to be officially charged this week on charges of murder.
Charlie Kirk, known as a close ally of US President Donald Trump, was killed while attending a speech event at the campus of a university in the state of Utah.He is the founder of an influential young conservative political group, USA Turning Point.
According to authority, the suspect allegedly used a sniper and shot Kirk from the roof of the building with a bullet hitting the victim’s neck.
“I can report today that DNA from a towel that wraps a firearm, as well as DNA on a screwdriver found at the location, has been confirmed to be suitable for the suspect that we have secured,” said FBI Director Kash Patel in an interview with Fox News, launched

Patel also mentioned that Robinson was believed to leave a note before committing a murder.
“The note basically stated, ‘I have the opportunity to get rid of Charlie Kirk, and I will do it.’It was written before the shooting, “said Patel.
The note was found in the suspect’s family’s house.Although physically destroyed, the FBI claimed to find forensic evidence that justified the existence of the document.
Kirk is widely known on social media such as Tiktok, Instagram, and YouTube to spread conservative views, including sharp criticism of the transgender rights movement.He often uploads debate video pieces from various campus events.
US President Donald Trump is scheduled to attend a tribute ceremony for Kirk on Sunday (9/21) at a stadium in Arizona.Vice President JD Vance even replaced Kirk’s position in his podcast that aired last Monday.
Robinson is described as a former outstanding student in high school and raised in a conservative mormon family.According to Governor Utah Spencer Cox, Robinson has a romantic relationship with a housemate who is a transgender and is said to adhere to the left ideology.
The Deputy Director of the FBI and Bongino, also known as the host of the right wing podcast and was appointed during the Trump era, said that Robinson showed a ‘strong intention’ before the attack occurred.
“There are a number of warning signs that appear before,” Bongino said.He quoted family information and friends who said the suspect later became more politically active.
The Director of FBI Patel had drawn criticism for announcing the arrest of the suspect only a few hours after the shooting.However, two hours later, he stated that the person arrested at that time had been released.
Responding to the criticism, Patel said he did not regret having provided preliminary information.
“Can I convey with more precise words in a hot situation? Maybe. But am I sorry to announce it? Not at all,” he said.
Patel is scheduled to attend a congress session on Tuesday (9/16) to answer questions from parliamentary members related to the handling of this case.
