“Yes, the joint SAR team evacuated a Dutch citizen on behalf of Johanes Antoni (68) due to falling into the waterfall,” said Gorontalo Heriyanto’s Head of Search and Relief Office, Sunday (9/15).
The incident occurred on Saturday (9/13) yesterday, when the victim was around the waterfall area.However, suddenly the victim slipped until it fell into the water.
“The victim slipped and fell into the waterfall, and suffered a broken thigh. We do not know exactly their purpose in coming there,” he said.
After getting the report, the combined SAR team was mobilized.However, while at the location, officers experienced difficulties, because the terrain was quite far and the road was slippery, so the victim was difficult to evacuate.
“Then added heavy rain in the location so that the evacuation process for the victim was difficult,” he said.
However, the evacuation process of the victim took about seven hours and then taken to the National Park Post.
“We succeeded in evacuating the victims and taken to Aloe Saboe Hospital in Gorontalo City to get medical treatment.
