The marathon meeting targets the Hajj Bill to be brought and ratified by the plenary meeting at the beginning of next week.
DPR Commission VIII Chairman Marwan Dasopang said that his party had spoken with the leadership of the DPR, and targeted the Hajj Bill to be passed at the second level to be a law in the plenary meeting next week on Tuesday, August 26.
“We have consulted this with the leadership of the DPR, especially in the field of Korkesra and he has conveyed it at the leadership meeting that we have brought it to the Rapur Decision Making Rapur. That means it has been legitimate to be a law,” Marwan said in a meeting, Jakarta, Friday (8/22).
With this target, the discussion of the Hajj and Umrah Bill between the DPR and the government was only carried out in less than a week since the Surpes was received by the DPR.
According to Marwan, now his party only has the remaining time of only four days, starting from 22-25 August.Meetings this will also be held on weekends or holidays on Saturday (8/23) and Sunday (8/24)
“Because of that, the time means that it is now 22, 23, 24, 25 [August], four days of work,” he said.
Change BP Hajj to become a ministry
Meanwhile, in two days of discussion, the DPR has agreed on a number of substance points in the bill, one of which is that BP Hajj becomes a ministry.
According to him, the article governing BP Haji-which originally wanted to be separated from the Ministry of Religion and is now a ministry-has been passed.
He ensured that his authority did not overlap with the Ministry of Religion.
“It was agreed that the sound of the article. So it did not cause overlapping,” said Marwan.
“And that can be explained, this is a religious affair in this field of the Minister of Religion, this is a special religious affair on the implementation of Hajj and Umrah,” he added.
