.One of the recruiters is known to be an old player.
Spokesperson for Densus 88 Anti-terror Police, AKBP Mayndra Eka Wardhana, said that this old player had already been prosecuted, but had repeated his actions.
“In law enforcement, there are two categories. First, old players who are also trying to recruit children again, yes, they have gone through the legal process, then after being released they try again to recruit several children,” said Mayndra in a press conference, Tuesday (18/11).

The five suspects each have the initials FW alias YT (47) from Medan, LM (23) from Banggai, PP alias BMS (37) from Sleman, MSPO (18) from Tegal, JJS alias BS (19) from Agam.
However, Mayndra did not reveal who the suspect was, who was an old player. He only said that this old player was affiliated with the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
“So for the old players who were first arrested by Densus 88, it is known that their network came from the ISIS or Ansharut Daulah network,” he said.
Mayndra also said that one of the five suspects had planned to carry out a terror act at the DPR Building. However, Mayndra did not reveal his identity, including the terror plan in question.
“Most recently, we discovered yesterday that one of the perpetrators also wanted to take action at the DPR RI Building. Now this is what makes law enforcement urgent,” he said.
The National Police’s Anti-terror Densus 88 has arrested five people whose role was to recruit children and students to join the terrorism network.
This recruitment process is carried out by utilizing the digital space, starting from social media, online games, messaging applications to closed sites.
Densus 88 has also identified 110 children who are planning acts of terror in a number of areas throughout 2025. This number has increased significantly due to the massive spread of doctrine on social media.
“So this means we can both conclude that there is a very massive recruitment process carried out through online media,” said Mayndra.
