Deputy Speaker of the DPR Sufmi Dasco asked the public and business actors to remain calm and no need to worry about being billed

“Playing songs without fear, then singing also without fear, because the dynamics that have occurred have been agreed upon to end together,” he said.
The royalty chaos that occurred over the past few years peaked in recent months and made many people afraid and reluctant to play songs for fear that he was suddenly billed by royalties.
Dasco also said that the House of Representatives Commission XIII, LMKN, and a number of parties from the music industry agreed in the two months to concentrate on completing the new copyright law.

Dasco promised that the DPR would also involve musicians and be loyal as the Copyright Bill Formulation Team.He said that the bill would later discuss in more detail about royalty arrangements.
He said the Royalty Bill is currently still stagnating in the DPR since last year.However, he believes after the meeting, the process will be resumed.
“Everything that is present is invited today, both artists, songwriters, and singers, as well as from collective management institutions, we will enter as the formulating team in formulating the Copyright Act specifically related to the Royalty issue.”he said.
In addition, the meeting agreed that “the delegation of royalty withdrawal will be centered on LMKN while completing the Copyright Act, and an audit for transparency of the existing royalty withdrawal activities so far.”
The consultation meeting was also attended by Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Adies Kadir and Chairman of the House of Representatives Commission XIII Willy Aditya, Director General of Intellectual Property, Copyright Director, Creator LMKN Commissioner and related rights, LMK rights related to performances and creators, Chair of the Vision, and Action Chair.
Some musicians who were seen were Piyu Padi, Ariel Noah, Sammy Simorangkir, to Vina Panduwinata.
