Crowded refused to leave the city of Gaza after the Israeli security cabinet on Friday (8/8) decided to take over.
Al Jazeera reported residents in the city of Gaza on Friday shrouded in fear and anger after the Israeli government said they would win the largest city in the Gaza Strip.
“For God’s sake, I have faced the death of about 100 times, so for me, it is better to die here,” said Ahmed Hirz, a Palestinian who has been displaced with his family at least eight times since Israel’s aggression began.
“I will never leave here. We have passed suffering, starving, torture, and sad conditions, so our final decision is to die here,” he said to

.
Rajab Khader, another Palestinian in the city of Gaza, also voiced a similar sentiment that he prefers to “live on the streets with dogs and other animals” rather than having to go to comply with the Zionist regime’s orders.
“We have to stay in the city of Gaza with family and loved ones. Israel will not find anything except our bodies and souls,” he told Al Jazeera.
Maghzouza Saada, who previously fled from Northeast Beit Hanoon, also expressed his anger because he was forced to move again, even though there was no one place in the Gaza Strip that could be called safe.
“South is not safe. The city of Gaza is not safe, north is not safe. Where should we go? Do we have to throw ourselves into the sea?”he asked frustrated.
Al Jazeera journalist, Hani Mahmoud, reported from the city of Gaza that the situation there since early Friday was Chaos after the Israeli security cabinet announced the ethnic cleaning plan.
Some people began to look busy packing the remaining items, not because they were ready to be forced to move, but to prepare for the Israeli military.
“Fear, concern, and despair are increasing. The Israeli military promises an evacuation zone in which people, in fact, are finally killed in these areas,” Mahmoud said.
Amjad Shawa, Director of the Palestinian NGO Network, said that residents were tired of being forcibly evicted by Israel.According to him, the prospect of evacuation this time also raised a greater danger because there was no more adequate infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.
Hospitals, water facilities, and all kinds of vital infrastructure have been destroyed after the Israeli attack.
“Now nothing can be given to the community, and that is risky,” he said.
“We must move the elderly who cannot walk, we also have patients and injuries who cannot move. We cannot leave them, and we also cannot give them care,” said Shawa.
Meanwhile, in April, President Prabowo Subianto said that Indonesia was ready to take care of the injured Gazans. The first wave will be carried around 1,000 people. They include orphans and residents who are traumatized by Israel’s aggression.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Arrmanatha Nasir (Tata) said that Indonesia is ready to accommodate residents from the injured Gaza Strip to be treated, if they get approval from Palestine and countries in the Middle East.
“As stated by the Foreign Minister (Sugiono) that we will all be ready if requested, we are ready if it is agreed upon by Palestine, we are ready if it is a request from all regional countries in accordance with the Arab League solutions,” said Tata, in a briefing with the media crew in Jakarta, Friday (8/8).
The solution in question is the result of a meeting of the United Nations International High Level Conference on the implementation of two-country solutions in New York on July 28-30, 2025 or known as the New York Declaration. This meeting was held at the initiation of Saudi Arabia and France.
Tata also emphasized that Indonesia did not support all efforts to force the forced transfer of Palestinians from its homeland.
Israel launched aggression, genocide and terrorism to Palestine since October 2023. During the operation, they attacked the residents and civilian objects. As a result, more than 60,000 civilians in Palestine were killed.
