Draft Law (RUU) of asset grabbing
the latest to discuss with the government.
Anggota Commission III of the Indonesian Parliament, Benny K. Harman said that his party prepared the draft bill carefully.He said the discussion was carried out openly by involving various parties.
“It has been prepared and open by inviting, involving the widest possible community participation, academics, civil society, and the community to receive input,” Benny said after a working visit at the South Sulawesi Regional Police, Friday (12/9).
The draft of the asset grabbing bill, said Benny, will most likely experience adjustments from the previous draft.
“There must be a change (draft of the asset grabbing bill). Now it is still prepared, not yet discussed,” he said.
Meanwhile Deputy Chairperson of the House of Representatives Commission III, Rusdi Masse admitted that he did not know much about the asset grabbing bill that had been included in the 2025 priority priority.
“I don’t know the answer is the question, because I was only in Commission III, only a few days,” he said.
Previously, the Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Correctional, Yusril Ihza Mahendra said the DPR would submit a draft of new asset grabbing laws.
“Talks in the DPR now tend to be in the direction that the DPR will submit a new law in the deprivation of the assets. But they will submit it and discuss it later after the discussion (draft) of the Criminal Procedure Code is completed,” Yusril said in Makassar, Thursday (11/9).
