Chairman of the Congress X PPP Session Amir Uskara initially announced Mardiono as the elected general chairman after being the only candidate present.Amir said Mardiono had been supported by 1,304 muktamirin owners of the voting rights of the conference.
“Congratulations Pak Mardiono for his acclamation in the X Congress that we just knocked on,” said Chairman of the Congress X PPP Amir Uskara, at a press conference held after the Muktamar, Saturday night (27/9).

The determination was rejected by some participants of the Congress.Through the Chairperson of the PPP Advisory Council, Muhamad Romahurmuziy alias Romy, some cadres stated that the determination of Mardiono was invalid.
Romy explained that the Congress to X PPP was still ongoing until 22:30 WIB and had not yet set the General Chair.Initially, the conference was scheduled to be held for three days starting September 27-29.
“The news around 21.22 WIB which states that Mardiono was elected acclamation was fake, unilateral claims, irresponsible, and was an effort to divide the United Development Party,” Romy said through a written release.
This has an impact on some cadres including Romy who set another elected chairman, Agus Suparmanto.
The Coordinating Minister for Legal, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections Yusril Ihza Mahendra stressed that the government would not endow the PPP management if there was still an internal conflict.The government wants the conflict to be resolved first.
The following is the profile of the two names claimed to be the General Chairperson of the PPP.
Mardiono
Muhammad Mardiono is an incumbent.He began leading the PPP after the PPP National Working Consultation which took place during 4-5 September 2022 ago decided as Suharso Monoarfa.
Mardiono was born in Yogyakarta on July 11, 1957.In his political career, Mardiono had served as Deputy Chairperson of the PPP DPP and the Chairman of the Banten Province PPP DPW.
He is a senior cadre of the party bearing the Kaaba, in 2019 he was trusted to be a member of the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres RI).
Mardiono is an experienced businessman, has a history of CEO in various companies.
Reporting from the official website of Wantimpres, Mardiono had served as CEO and owner of BCS Group and Buana Centra Swakarsa.
Then the CEO and owner of PT Cipta Niaga Internasional, PT Serang Asri Hotel, PT Bahari Caraka Sarana, PT Bank Perkreditan Rakyat Syariah (BPRS) Muámalah Cilegon, Serang and Tangerang.Then the CEO and owner of PT Albantani Cipta Niaga and PT Walle Jasa Pratama.
He was also the Chairperson of the Banten Province Kadin in the Industrial and Trade for five years, in 2002-2007.
Then served as Chairman of the Banten Province’s and Industrial and Industry Advisory Council (Kadin) for two periods, namely 2007-2012 and continued in 2012-2017.
Based on his report to the KPK on March 30, 2022, while still serving as a member of Wantimpres, Mardiono reported assets worth Rp1.27 trillion.
Agus Suparmanto
Agus Suparmanto was born on December 23, 1965, was known as the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Fencing Association (PB Ikikasi) for two periods namely 2014-2018 and 2018-2022.
Agus is also the President Director of PT Garangan Manggar Biliton (GMB).
The company is working on a ship’s dock’s construction project at the Manggar Sungai Port, East Belitung Regency.
Agus was once joined in the Indonesian Cabinet advanced during the reign of Joko Widodo and Ma’ruf Amin.He served as Minister of Trade from 23 October 2019 to 22 December 2020.
When at the end of office, precisely on March 31, 2021, Agus reported assets of Rp1.62 trillion to the KPK.
