, Fong (31), sentenced to prison and fined after attacking immigration officers at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Malaysia.
The incident that occurred on Wednesday (8/13) began with a routine examination which then triggered the anger of the tourist.
When examined, Fong became restless and began to harass a female officer verbally.The situation heats up when Fong forcefully released the officer’s headscarf, an action that was considered as a serious religious insult.

, Did not stop there, Fong was increasingly aggressive and banging the head of the officer to the supporting pole.As a result of this attack, immigration officers were injured and had to be rushed to the hospital.
Although the airport security team tried to calm down, Fong continued to run amok and finally detained by the Malaysian Royal Police (GRDP) for further investigation.
Lawsuits and firm sentences
Fong was charged at the Sepang Court on 18 August.Although he claimed to be guilty and begged for punishment for reasons of misunderstanding and the fact that he was traveling with children, the prosecutor emphasized the severity of the action, especially the harassment of his religion.
The judge sent a firm sentence, confirms the principle that the attack on law enforcement officers could not be tolerated.In addition to prison sentences, Fong was also subject to a fine of 2,000 Malaysian ringgit or around Rp7.7 million.
If the fine is not paid, Fong must serve an additional prison sentence for two months.This decision reflects the “without tolerance” policy implemented by Malaysian authorities against such violent incidents.
