Rizal explained that Bulog rice stocks are currently varied from the new to the old one.For shelf age 0-1 months recorded 318,996 tons, ages 2-3 months as many as 1,068,920 tons, ages 4-6 months 1,337,678 tons, ages 7-12 months 993,481 tons, and age over 1 year 194,100 tons.
“The age of more than one year was the procurement of last year, in 2024,” Rizal said, Thursday (8/21).
Chairman of the House of Representatives Commission IV Titiek Soeharto highlighted the existence of the old stock in the Bulog warehouse.He requested that more than a year old rice be released so that the stock circulation goes well.
“This is still more than one year old in the Bulog warehouse. This please be issued immediately, sir. This is about the circulation of the stock of Bulog, please really, so that there is no long time, the old stock is still there,” he said.
Titiek also reminded the management of Bulog to be disciplined in applying the First In First Out (FIFO) principle, which is rice that first enters must come out first.
“After all, we have to spend too, why should it be held back?
Overall, Bulog’s CBP stock currently reaches 3.91 million tons.Of these, around 30.3 percent or 1.18 million tons are rice with a shelf life of more than six months.
In addition to old stock matters, Bulog also reported the distribution of cheap rice through the supply and food price stabilization program (SPHP).
Until now, as many as 1.59 million tons of rice have been distributed to modern retail networks, including Hypermart 15 thousand tons, Indomaret 1,097,500 tons, Alfamart 460 thousand tons, and Lion Superindo 20 thousand tons.
“The realization of PO and the distribution of modern retail SPHP rice at the consumer level we do as much as possible. This will develop again and continuously because Alfamart itself has more than 45 thousand outlets and Indomaret of more than 55 thousand outlets,” Rizal said.
