“My husband heard people screaming, a woman shouted for help,” said a witness who lives near the church, Debbie Horkey.
The local police chief, William Renye, said the perpetrators drove his vehicle into the church and began to shoot people inside with assault rifles.During the attack, worship is ongoing.
The authorities said the armed man also burned the church, before he was shot by police officers.
From this incident 10 people have been taken to the hospital, of which two of the victims died.
The church manager called the attack as a “tragic violence”.
