Head of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Lt. Gen. Suharyanto said that until the 6th day of the search, there were dozens of victims who had not been found in the ruins of the Al Khoziny Islamic Boarding School Building, Buduran, Sidoarjo.
He mentioned that there were at least 49 students who were allegedly still missing, based on data given by the pesantren to the combined SAR team.
“Yes 49 people hopefully this can be fast (found),” Suharyanto said at the Emergency Response Post in Sidoarjo, Saturday (4/10)

According to him, the condition of the ruins is very complex.Even so, the joint team continues to strive with the deployment of heavy equipment to speed up the search process.
“Last night’s activity after being discovered, we focused on massive cleaning. Heavy equipment entered into a collapsed point. So that hopefully this day there will be more found,” he said.
BNPB together with the combined SAR team have mapped the points that are allegedly still victims.The location is now the main focus of the search.
“Because the joint rescue search team has identified which points are possible for victims. Now that has been identified so that after this massively cleaned it can be taken immediately,” Suharyanto said.
He emphasized that logistics and equipment needs in the field did not experience obstacles.The SAR team immediately cleaned at the point that was confirmed there were no casualties so that the evacuation process could be faster.
“But clearly we convey any needs in the field there are no difficulties. Heavy equipment needs anything we enter,” he said.
It is known, until Friday (3/10) night, 118 victims found.Consisting of 104 in a survivor, 14 died.While there are no found 49.
As is known, the three -storey building including the musala at the Putra Pondok Pesantren Al Khoziny Dormitory in Buduran, Sidoarjo, collapsed, Monday (29/9) afternoon.
At the time of the incident, it was found that there were hundreds of students who were carrying out the Asr prayer in congregation in the building that was still in the construction stage.
