Earthquake
The magnitude 4.9 powers occurred in the Bekasi area, West Java, Wednesday (8/20).
Quoting from the X BMKG account, the epicenter or the earthquake center is located at 14 kilometers southeast of Bekasi Regency, West Java.
BMKG noted the earthquake hypocentrum was at a depth of 10 kilometers.
“Update MAG Earthquake Info: 4.9, 20-Aug-2025 19: 54: 55WIB,” was quoted as saying from the BMKG broadcast.
Earthquake shocks were reported in the Greater Jakarta area to Purwakarta and West Bandung Regency, West Java.
“It was felt in Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang, South Tangerang II-III MMI, Purwakarta III MMI,” was quoted as saying by BMKG.

Kiki (40), a resident of Cihanjuang Rahayu, West Bandung Regency, said his body swayed while lying down.
