According to Bahlil, the government has provided an allocation of fuel import quota to private gas stations per year and has even been added 10 percent starting in 2025. However, if there is a shortage in the middle of the road, then he appealed to be able to buy to PT Pertamina.
“If 2024 Si A gets 1 million, then 2025 he gets 1.1 million and we have done it. If anyone is still lacking, please also buy at Pertamina,” he said at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Friday (29/8).
Bahlil stressed Pertamina has sufficient oil stock to be purchased by Shell Indonesia and BP AKR.Thus, imports do not become the main options when stock is empty.
“Pertamina is also there, because this is related to our import export balance. I don’t think we choose to love, we will give everything, but there must be parts that we must protect about the condition of our country,” he explained.
The Chairperson of the Golkar Party stressed that he never reduced the import stock of private gas stations.It’s just that, if there is a shortage of supply, then you can buy to a state company.
“If there is something lacking there, buy it at Pertamina. In the rules also say that the private sector has not received an allocation according to its needs, please buy at Pertamina. Pertamina has a refinery,” he explained.
He made sure Pertamina’s stock was very capable of closing the shortage of the supply of this private gas station.Because, there is still production from the Pertamina International refinery (KPI).
“I still check Pertamina’s stock still a lot. I have to maintain a commodity balance sheet, one of our indicators has lifting and our production is good if it reduces imports, not adding imports.
