The Russian government television report said the prize was given directly by the Russian Embassy staff in the United States to a man named Mark Warren. The surrender was carried out in the Anchorage Hotel parking area where the Russian delegation was staying.
“I have to say that this is a personal gift from the President of the Russian Federation,” Russian Embassy staff Andrei Ledenev said when handing over the motorcycle keys to the Ural brand to Warren.
Warren, a white -haired man and glasses, looks enthusiastic to try his new motorbike with Ledenev and another man.
“The difference is very big. I like my old motorbike, but this one is clearly much better,” he said.”I can’t speak, amazing. Thank you very much.”
The unexpected gift began when Russian television journalists Channel 1 coincidentally met Warren on the streets of Anchorage ahead of the Summit. They stopped to see Warren’s old motorbike.
Warren told reporter Valentin Bogdanov that he had difficulty getting spare parts, including a new starter, because the motorcycle factory was in Ukraine.
“So if this conflict can be resolved in Alaska, I mean by Putin and Trump, it will be good?”Bogdanov asked.
“Yes, it will be good,” Warren answered.
Ural motorcycle producers are currently headquartered in the state of Washington, USA.The company said all their products were assembled in Kazakhstan after attracting all production from Russia since the start of a massive war in Ukraine.
Ural has not yet given an official comment related to a prize for Warren.
