Aipda Robig Killer Gamma Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison

with a sentence of 15 years in prison and a fine of Rp. 200 million
Based on the facts revealed in the trial, the judge believes Robig has been proven guilty of the shooting that killed SMKN 4 Semarang students Gamma Rizkynata Oktafandy (17).
“Dropping imprisonment for the defendant for 15 years and a fine of Rp200 million, provided that if the fine was not paid, it was replaced by imprisonment for 1 month,” said Chief Judge Mira Sendangsari while reading the verdict at the Semarang District Court, Friday (8/8).
In bringing down the decision, the judge considered a number of conditions that were burdensome and lightening.
The burdensome thing is that the defendant’s actions have lost the lives of others, namely victim Gamma Rizkynata Oktafandy bin Andi Prabowo and has caused 2 people injured, namely the child victims of the initials S and the child of the victim’s initials A.
“The defendant’s actions have tarnished the police institution,” the panel of judges said.
While the alleviation is that the defendant has the dependents of his wife and children’s family.
Previously, the public prosecutor demanded that Robig be sentenced to 15 years in prison and a fine of Rp200 million in six months in prison.
In his consideration, the prosecutor said the defendant was proven to have committed violence against children which resulted in death and injury.
This is as regulated in Article 80 paragraph 3 and 1 of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection.
For information, Gamma students of SMKN 4 Semarang were killed as a result of being shot by Aipda Robig.
In its release, Semarang Police Chief Senior Commissioner Irwan Anwar, said Gamma was a brawl perpetrator who was carrying a sharp and threatening the safety of its members who wanted to break up.Later in the statement of the Head of the Central Java Regional Police Headquarters, the shooting action carried out by Aipda Robig was not in the context of intervening the brawl.
In addition, it was revealed that Gamma did not carry sharp weapons when shot by Aipda Robig.Even the student did not carry out activities that threaten the safety of the police.
In this case, Robig has also undergone a code of ethics and has been fired from the police.Robig has also appealed the sanctions.
