The Attorney General’s Office (AGO) examined five witnesses in the alleged case
corruption

Head of the Legal Information Center of the Attorney General’s Office Anang Supriatna said the examination was carried out by investigators at the Round Building on Wednesday (8/20) yesterday.
He said one of the witnesses who was questioned by the Investigator of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes was LMNG as the President Director (President Director) of PT Acer Indonesia.
“LMNG as President Director of PT Acer Indonesia has been examined,” he said in a written statement, Thursday (8/21).
In addition to LMNG, Anang said that other witnesses examined were AW as the Acting Director of Community Education and Special Education of the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2022.
Then, Head of Commercial Product PT Acer Indonesia initials RG;Head of the 2020 Research and Development Agency with the initials TS;and FW as the former Director of PT Aneka Sakti Bakti (ASABA) as well as a Chromebook distributor was also examined.
Nevertheless, he did not reveal further about the examination material explored by investigators.Anang only mentioned that the examination was carried out to complete the suspect’s case file.
“The examination of witnesses was carried out to strengthen the proof and complete the filing in the case in question,” he concluded.
The Central AGO investigated the alleged corruption case of the educational digitalization program in the Ministry of Education and Culture for the 2019-2022 period.During that period, the Ministry of Education and Culture held 1.2 million laptop units for schools in Indonesia, especially in 3T areas with a total budget of Rp9.3 trillion.
The procurement of this laptop was chosen using the Chrome or Chromebook operating system even though it has many weaknesses and is not effective for learning facilities in the 3T area because it does not have internet access.
In this case, the Attorney General’s Office named four suspects namely the Director of the Ministry of Education and Culture, 2020-2021, Mulyatsyah;Director of SD Kemendikbudristek 2020-2021, Sri Wahyuningsih;Former Staff of the Minister of Education and Culture Nadiem Makarim, Jurist Tan;and a former technology consultant at the Ministry of Education and Culture, Ibrahim Arief.
For the actions of the suspects, the state allegedly suffered a loss of up to Rp1.98 trillion consisting of losses due to software items (CDM) of Rp480 billion and mark up the price of a laptop of Rp1.5 trillion.
Until this news was revealed there was no official statement from Acer Indonesia regarding the corruption case that occurred in the era of Minister Joko Widodo.
