Defense Minister
Iran
Aziz Nasirzadeh said his country had built a number of weapons factories spread across several countries. But Iran is still keeping the location of these factories.
“We have built weapons factories in several countries, but for now we do not want to announce in any country,” Nasirzadeh said in an interview broadcast on television on Friday (8/22).
Nasirzadeh’s statement was raised when the Iranian Navy tested the cruising missiles in the Bay of Oman and the North Indian Ocean.
The trial was conducted in large-scale military exercises on Thursday (8/21), following the Iran-Russian joint training a month earlier known as the Casasex 2025 in the Caspian Sea.
Since 1979, the US has imposed sanctions on Iran which limits Tehran access to modern weapons.
US sanctions cause Iran to rely on their own abilities and can only adapt old systems.
Even so, Iran remains aggressively producing weapons.According to Nasirzadeh, last year Tehran has tested a new warhead that is sophisticated and able to maneuver.
