Russian words about the former TNI Satria Kumbara became a red bear soldier

Russian Ambassador to Indonesia, Sergei Tolchenov, confirmed that foreigners could join the armed forces in their country.
Tolchenov did not rule out the possibility that there were Indonesian people who officially and legally came to Russian territory and then signed a contract to become a soldier.
“For foreign nationals who are already in Russia and want to join the Russian armed forces, this is possible, to sign a contract,” he said in a press conference at the Russian Embassy in Jakarta, Wednesday (8/20).
“And I am sure that, this person did it. But all the other consequences are in him, because, you know, quite a lot of countries forbid such activities,” he continued.
The statement was in line with Russian President Vladimir Putin who signed the decree so as to allow foreigners to work in Russian army, not only in an emergency but also during the mobilization period.
He emphasized that people who joined the Russian armed forces were professionals.
“They signed the contract, and those people could be Russians and, in some cases, foreign citizens,” said Tolchenov.
The Russian Ambassador admitted that he only knew about Satria Kumbara from the media in Indonesia.He understood that many countries prohibit his citizens to sign a contract with a foreign military.Therefore Tolchenov stated that now Satria Kumbara is fully responsible for his choice.
“I don’t know what the rules are here in Indonesia, in your constitution, in your law. But if the Kumbara violates Indonesian rules, it is his personal responsibility,” Tolchenov said.
The issue of foreign troops in Russia was crowded in RI after a viral video of the former TNI Satria Kumbara on social media.In the recording, he wore two military uniforms of the Navy and the Russian military uniform.
At the end of July, Satria asked the Indonesian government to repatriate him and give back the status of Indonesian citizens (WNI).
He then said he apologized for signing a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense, causing the revocation of Indonesian citizens’ status.
Indonesian Minister of Law and Human Rights Supratman Andi Agtas previously said the status of Satria Indonesian citizens automatically disappeared if it was proven to join a foreign military.
