According to Riki the incident began when the two clients stole the sweet potato around 30 kg in the land that was controlled by the perpetrators.Then because the news spread, the two perpetrators confessed to local community leaders.
“After that they were advised and told to return the sweet potato and apologize to the owner. They took the possibility of being sold. Maybe for living expenses. Because they actually have no permanent jobs,” he said.
Then Riki said that the two clients came to submit the stolen result.But they were instead persecuted and burned.HR allegedly poured gasoline into the body of the Andika Peri and burned it.Even though the victim has beg for forgiveness.
“Then the Brimob hit and punched so that my client was bruised and wounded on his lips. The fairy whose body had been burned tried to extinguish the fire by taking off his jacket and ran to save himself. While Zepri managed to escape,” he explained.
After that, residents came to the perpetrators asking for accountability.The perpetrators had made a statement willing to treat the victim’s burns until healed.Later the victim was brought home to go for treatment.
“Initially after being burned, a statement was made that the perpetrators were willing to treat until healed. Then the victim was taken by his family to the hospital. There was told to be hospitalized. But the ASN perpetrator was urged so that the victim was taken home,” he said.
Not stopping there, the two victims claimed to be scared because they were reported back to Medan Polrestabes for alleged theft and destruction.According to Riki, the back report was made in the early morning around 3:00 a.m.

Separately, the Head of North Sumatra Police Public Relations Commissioner Pol Ferry Walintukan said in the case of the persecution of the sweet potato thief the police named two people as suspects namely HR and AM.While the Brimob is still undergoing an examination.
