, Yoppy Rosimin, expressed his party’s ambition to restore the prestige of the Indonesia Open as the best badminton tournament in the world.
This was conveyed by Yoppy in a press conference with PBSI which collaborated with the new Event Organizer (EO) to hold the tournament, PT Perada Swara Productions or Megapro, Thursday (9/10).
Yoppy said that his party had sent representatives to tournaments in other countries to conduct comparative studies.This, he continued, was carried out so that events in Indonesia absorb innovations that exist in other parts of the world.

“Two or three weeks ago, we sent an envoy to the China Masters to see them there in person.”
“We will also send people to tournaments that are considered the best. This shows our clear commitment that we want to make the Indonesia Open the best tournament again,” said Yoppy in Jakarta, Thursday (9/10).
Yoppy also stated that his party is committed to supporting badminton tournaments held in Indonesia.Together with PBSI, a number of events such as the Indonesia Open, Indonesia Masters and the National Circuit are also ready to be supported.
“Of course we will support this. We will support everything from Super 100, 300, 500 and 1000, to Sirnas. All PBSI tournaments held in Indonesia will be fully supported by our friends,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Secretary General of PBSI, Ricky Soebagja, revealed the reasons for collaborating with the new EO to hold the tournament.Evaluation of previous events is a factor that is highlighted.
“In principle, PBSI is open to anyone, especially for Super 1000. Of course there are other considerations after long discussions regarding the activities that will be carried out in 2026,” said Ricky.
“There must be an evaluation [of previous events]. For example, the Indonesia Open, this event was once a very good event,” he added.
