The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) officially banned it
airline
Serene Air operates and revokes its operational permit (
Air Operator Certificate
/AOC) because the airline does not have a single aircraft that is fit to fly.
“Currently, Serene Air does not have aircraft that can be operated for flights, so it is unable to meet the operational capacity required to carry out safe flights in accordance with applicable PCAA rules and regulations,” read the official PCAA letter, as reported.

“Therefore, the Air Operator Certificate issued to Serene Air is officially suspended with immediate effect,” he added.

Serene Air, a private airline that began operations in 2017, initially only served domestic routes before expanding its services to international flights to China, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
The airline has seven aircraft in its fleet, consisting of three Airbus A330-200s and four Boeing 737-800s.
However, reports from aviation sites

revealed that of Serene Air’s three Airbus A330s, one aircraft had not operated for more than a year, another last flew to Karachi (KHI) on September 26, and another to Jeddah (JED) on September 29.
Meanwhile, of the four Boeing 737s, three of them have also been inactive for more than a year, and one plane last flew to Tianjin (TSN) on September 27.
One of the planes was reportedly unable to operate after experiencing a bird strike incident in Saudi Arabia.The airline hopes to repatriate stranded passengers with the plane.
In a statement on social media, Serene Air said, “We understand the challenges posed by recent operational disruptions and greatly appreciate your patience and support.”
“Our teams are working relentlessly to ensure all affected passengers can return safely, with accommodation, food and repatriation arrangements underway. We remain committed to quickly restoring operations and welcoming you back in the near future,” the statement continued.
