Gaza Strip

Tata also emphasized that Indonesia did not support all efforts to force the forced transfer of Palestinians from its homeland.
The New York declaration states that war, occupation, terror, and forced transfer, cannot provide peace or security.The only way to end the conflict in the region is the solution of two countries, with international law.
The solution of two countries is a framework agreed upon by the international community as a solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by establishing two independent, sovereign, side by side, peaceful, and mutual respect.
Previously, Head of the Presidential Communication Office (PCO) Hasan Nasbi said that President Prabowo Subianto had given directions so that RI accommodated 2,000 Gazans on Galang Island, Riau Islands.
Hasan said that Prabowo was conveyed by Prabowo so that Indonesia could help provide care for the people of Gaza victims of Israeli aggression on Galang Island.
“Yes, for this treatment assistance, this is a humanitarian activity,” Hasan said in Jakarta on Thursday.
Hasan conveyed the government’s decision to place 2,000 Gazans on Galang Island because there were adequate health facilities and were separated from the Indonesian People’s Settlement Areas.
He then made sure that thousands of Gazans were not relocated, but to get medical assistance.
“So later after recovering, after completing treatment they will certainly return to Gaza,” added Hasan
Galang Island is one alternative proposed by Prabowo.However, this location is still being drafted together with other locations.
Last April, Prabowo said Indonesia was ready to take care of the injured Gaza citizens.The first wave will be carried around 1,000 people.They include orphans and residents who are traumatized by Israel’s aggression.
Israel launched aggression to Palestine since October 2023. During the operation, they attacked the residents and civil objects.As a result, more than 60,000 civilians in Palestine were killed.
