Until Sunday (5/10) morning, the combined SAR team recorded 36 victims died due to the collapse of the Al Khoziny Islamic Boarding School building in Sidoarjo.
As many as 27 other victims have not yet been found and allegedly buried under building debris.
The evacuation and appointment process of ruins has reached around 60 percent and continues to accelerate.
However, the search effort is now entering a crucial stage because of a large obstacle in the form of a collapsed building that sticks to the building on the left side of the location.
This condition makes the process of removal of debris must be done extra careful, so as not to trigger a subsequent collapse.
The combined SAR team will consult with building structural experts from the ITS Civil Engineering Department to ensure that the evacuation step runs safely.
