Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto said that the Nataru holiday ticket discount was part of the economic stimulus applied by the government.
“The government provides a Christmas and New Year stimulus. So, the train December 22 (2025) to January 10 (2026) for 1.5 million passengers. The discount is 30 percent,” Airlangga said at a press conference at Wisma and Antara, South Jakarta, Wednesday (1/10).

Airlangga detailed the discount of plane tickets valid for the purchase of October 22, 2025-10 January 2026. The government targets 36 million passengers to enjoy this discount.
“The VAT (Value Added Tax) is borne by the government. With a Fuel Charge discount and Avtur price there will be a ticket decline between 12 percent to 14 percent,” he added.
In addition, there is also a 20 percent discount for marine transportation modes operated by PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia (Persero) alias Pelni.This discount was prepared for 405 thousand passengers with a trip period December 17, 2025 to January 10, 2026.
Airlangga said there was also a discount for the mode of sea transportation owned by PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero).He said there was a discount at the port for 227 thousand passengers and 491 thousand vehicles on December 22, 2025-10 January 2026.
Previously, the government launched a number of economic stimulus policies.In addition to travel ticket discounts, there is a policy of opening an internship for 20 thousand fresh graduates with a salary equivalent to the provincial minimum wage (UMP).
The government also prepared a 50 percent discount policy of BPJS Employment contributions for online motorcycle taxi drivers (Ojol), ojek bases, drivers, couriers and logistics.The government is targeting 731,361 people to get a 50 percent discount for JKK (Work Accident Insurance) and JKM (Death Insurance).
