List of 6 new Kodams that will be inaugurated by the TNI

will add six military regional commands (
Kodam
) new.The six new Kodam will be in charge of territorial areas in Indonesia, spread from Riau, Central Kalimantan, Central Sulawesi, and Merauke.
First, Kodam XIX/Tuanku Tambusai which will oversee the territorial regions of Riau and Riau Islands.Second, Kodam XX/Tuanku Imam Bonjol oversees Padang and Jambi.
Third, Kodam XXI/Radin Inten oversees Lampung and Bengkulu.Fourth, Kodam XXII/Tambun Bungai oversees Central and South Kalimantan.Fifth, Kodam XXIII/Palaka Wira oversees Central and West Sulawesi.
Finally, Kodam XXIV/Mandala Trikora which will oversee the territorial area of Merauke.
Inaugurated August 10
The establishment of the six new Kodam was justified by the Head of the Indonesian Armed Forces Headquarters Maj. Gen. Kristomei Sianturi.The plan, the six Kodam will be inaugurated in the organizational validation ceremony in Batujajar, Bandung, West Java, Sunday (10/8).
However, Kristomei has not been able to tell anyone of TNI officials who will be lined up as the Military Commander in the six places.The addition of six new Kodam will increase the number of Kodam that already exists in Indonesia.
Until now there are 15 Kodam in Indonesia, so the presence of these six new Kodam will break the territorial areas that are currently under the existing Kodam.For example, South Kalimantan which previously entered the territorial area of Kodam VI/Mulawarman will enter the new Kodam namely, Kodam XXII/Tambun Bungai.
