Successfully won the Korean Open 2025 tournament after defeating Danish player Anders Antonsen, in the final match held at Suwon Gymnasium on Sunday (9/28).
Jonatan won through a fierce battle of three games with a score of 21-10, 15-21, 21-17 in 75 minutes.
In the statement after the match, Jonatan revealed that this title means a lot to him, although not from the highest tournament category.

“Indeed this is not the biggest tournament, the top tier, but for me this is very, very meaningful. The super 500 title that I did not imagine, after some time struggle with injury,” Jonatan was quoted as saying by the PBSI release.
Jonatan tells how a long injury recovery process had hampered his career in recent times.
“A lot of time is consumed for recovery, then sick again, recovery again, looking for self -confidence, looking for motivation. And today pays off, thank God,” said Jonatan.
Jonatan also highlighted the condition of the field which was quite challenging in the final match, mainly because the direction of the wind that affected the course of the match.
“On the field the condition of winning and losing the wind is quite felt, quite heavy. Then Antoncent with his experience, it is not easy. In the deciding game I have won one or two points, it makes confident to continue to implement the same strategy,” said Jonatan.
In the future Jonatan set a target to collect points to improve the ranking of the world which had declined due to unsatisfactory results in several previous tournaments.
“Next, there must be many who want to be pursued but while wanting to pursue points to raise the rankings first. Lately it is quite behind because of the unfavorable results. I want to get as many points as possible in the rest of this year,” Jonatan said.
