“The incident was revealed when the police received a report from the public about the discovery of the corpse at the location on Wednesday at around 11:00 WIB,” said Head of Public Relations Section of Simalungun Police AKP Verry Purba, Thursday (7/8).
Verry said F was still in grade IX of junior high school.He lives with his mother and sister.The victim’s mother was not at home for visiting their brother Berastagi on Monday (4/8).
“When his family was traveling, the victim was entrusted to his uncle who lived not far from their home,” he said
According to Verry, the victim’s mother contacted the witness with the initial S on Wednesday (6/8), for fear that her child would not pick up the phone a day.Witness S was asked to check the condition of the victim.
“The witness knocked on the victim’s house and called him, but there was no reply from inside the house even though the headlights were still on,” he explained
After getting permission from the victim’s mother, said Verry, witness S called his brother with the initial P and other witnesses with the initial R to help open the door of the house.
“Witness S took a chair to look into the room and found the victim lying on the bed with his head covered in white plastic,” he said.
Verry said from the results of the examination at the crime scene (TKP), the victim was on his back on the bed with both legs hanging to the floor, wearing a white long -sleeved shirt with blue arms that read “Berastagi”.
“When the victim’s head was found was covered in white plastic, and the room was locked from the inside. The issue of the victim that was bound was incorrect. But it was true that the victim’s head was covered with white plastic,” he said.
Regarding the alleged murder, the police have not found a strong indication considering the condition of the house is tightly closed from inside and the door of the room is also locked from the inside.
“To determine the exact cause of death, the police are still waiting for the results of the autopsy from Djasamen Saragih Hospital in Pematang Siantar City,” he said.
The investigation team is currently conducting a comprehensive examination of the whole family, witnesses, victims’ friends, and electronic devices of victims such as cellphones and laptops.
“There are suspected victims intending to commit suicide, but the team is still exploring the causes and motives if the allegation is true,” said AKP Verry Purba.
