The inauguration was carried out at the Merdeka Palace on Wednesday (9/17).
The appointment of Farida was based on the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 96P of 2025 concerning the dismissal and appointment of the Minister and Deputy Minister of the State Minister for the Red and White Cabinet period 2024-2029, which was signed on September 17, 2025.
“Appoint a minister and deputy minister in the remaining term of office 2024-2029, namely … Lima, Farida Farichah as Deputy Minister of Cooperatives,” said the Presidential Office.
Farida filled the position previously occupied by Ferry Juliantono.Last Monday (8/9), Ferry was appointed by Prabowo to become Minister of Cooperatives, replacing Budi Arie Setiadi.

, Farida is a cadre of the National Awakening Party (PKB).He had advanced to become a legislative candidate for the Indonesian Parliament in the 2024 Pileg, but failed to ‘penetrate’ Senayan.At that time, Farida fought in the electoral district of Central Java 3 which included Grobogan, Rembang, Blora, and Pati.

Farida is also active in Nahdlatul Ulama by becoming a member of PP Fayatat NU.He was also recorded as the General Chairperson of the Nahdlatul Ulama Student Association (PP IPNU) in 2012-2015.
In her Instagram profile, Farida also wrote that he had served as Chairman of the Indonesian Youth National Committee (KNPI) for the 2018-2021 period.
