Venezuelan civilians received training in the use of firearms on Saturday (9/13).
The training, led by the President’s Honorary Guard, was held at Caracas Barracks and was followed by residents who registered with the Bolivarian National Militia.
Similar activities were also carried out in 312 national barracks as part of the Operation Independence 200.
The training was carried out amid the increasing tension with the United States, which strengthened its military presence in the southern Caribbean.
On the same day, the Venezuelan government said its warships were intercepted and searched by US destroyers for eight hours at Zee Venezuela.
