Asset Division Bill
To be immediately discussed in the DPR following the public demands in a wave of demonstrations on 25-31 August.
Democratic Party Secretary General Herman Khaeron admitted that his party had later discussed the bill with his faction members in Commission III and XIII.According to him, the Democratic Party is committed to what is the demands of the community.
“If indeed it has become a discussion, we are ready to discuss it,” Herman said at the Parliament Complex, Wednesday (9/10).
However, formally Herman said that his party would still wait for the attitude of other factions in the DPR.Moreover, a number of council or commission equipment are also in the discussion on the revision of other laws.
“But in essence Democrats are ready to discuss this,” said Herman.
Meanwhile, the Secretary General of the Golkar Party and Chair of the Faction, Sarmuji admitted that his party had long confirmed the attitude of supporting the discussion of the asset grabbing bill.He hoped that the bill was discussed carefully, not only because it was based on public pressure.
He assessed that the asset grabbing bill contains a lot of crucial material that needs to be explored and examined carefully.Thus, the discussion must involve many parties, especially from academics and experts.
“The Golkar Faction has long confirmed ready to discuss this bill. We hope that this bill is carefully discussed not because of the panic situation because many crucial things we need to explore so that the existence of this bill provides optimal benefits for the country,” he said.
The Indonesian Parliament and the government had previously agreed to immediately complete the process of discussing the Asset Division Bill in 2025 in the Prolegnas Evaluation Meeting.
This was conveyed by the Chairman of the DPR Legislation Board (Baleg), Bob Hasan after chairing the Priority Priority Evaluation Working Meeting 2025, Wednesday (9/9).
“The target is all this year to be taken care of, but then we are called meaningful,” Bob said after the meeting.
Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas ensured that President Prabowo Subianto supported the asset grabbing bill to be discussed in the DPR.The results of the meeting have determined the bill to be a proposal for the DPR’s initiative.
“We will wait a minute, the important thing is that the political decision today through the chairman and friends in Baleg is clear this year the law of asset grabbing has entered in 2025,” Supratman said.
