According to Bambang, if Sara became a minister, President Prabowo Subianto’s nephew did not have to resign from the DPR first.

Sara decided to resign as a member of the Indonesian Parliament for 2024-2029.He made the announcement through a video upload on his personal Instagram account, Wednesday (10/9).
He did not clearly reveal the reason for his resignation.However, President Prabowo Subianto’s niece conveyed an apology for his statement which had been in the spotlight on February 28, 2025.

“The wrong mistake is in me. Therefore, through this message, I say a profound apology for my words and mistakes,” he said.
“With this, I declare my resignation as a member of the Indonesian Parliament to the Gerindra Party Faction,” added Sara.
