states that Indonesia will buy an aircraft carrier from their country Giuseppe Garibaldi.
This will be Indonesia’s first aircraft carrier owned by Indonesia.
The Director of Navy Business Sales Fincanii, Mauro Manzini, confirmed that the Indonesian Navy expressed their interest in acquiring Giuseppe Garibaldi.
“Giuseppe Garibaldi is in good condition and has the remaining operational period of around 15 to 20 years. This ship can move ownership after the repair process that is adjusted to the needs of the Indonesian Navy,” Manzini said in June, quoted by the military issue site,

He said the problem was in the discussion of the two countries and until now there has been no official decision.
Manzini then revealed the specifications of this warship.Giuseppe Garibaldi is able to operate various drones, helicopters, fixed wing aircraft, to amphibious assets.
“This ship also has the ability that is proven in humanitarian operations and disaster assistance,” he added.
Furthermore, Manzini explained that Giuseppe Garibaldi had been involved in the mission of sending medical assistance and humanitarian cargo after Haiti was rocked by a terrible earthquake in 2010.

Already contacted the Navy Chief of Staff Muhammad Ali to ask for confirmation about Indonesia’s desire to acquire Garibaldi.However, he did not immediately give an explanation.
