The Afghan earthquake centered near Jalalabad, Nangarhar Province, with a depth of 14 km.The area is about 119 km from the Capital City, Kabul.
After the first earthquake, aftershocks also occurred with magnitude of around 4-5.
The second earthquake occurred 20 minutes after the first with a depth of 10 km.Then, the next aftershocks with a magnitude of 5.2 also occurred and at the same depth.
Afghanistan is often shaken by earthquakes.In 2023, an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 shook the country.As a result of the disaster, at least 4,000 people were killed.
