This follows Gus Ipul’s recognition about 45 percent of the social assistance program of the Ministry of Social Affairs which was apparently not on target.He emphasized that the government would digitize to improve the accuracy of the distribution of social assistance.
“So far, it is suspected, even the data shows that the Ministry of Social’s program has 45 percent of the targeted, not on target. So, through various efforts that have been made on the direction of the President (Prabowo Subianto), one of which is a digital -based government service built by the National Economic Council,” he said at a press conference at the Den Office, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (26/8).
“Therefore, I want to invite the community, don’t just complain, don’t just protest, but also active to take the data (Bansos recipients),” said Gus Ipul.
He said the digital system initiated by Den would rely on technology.This makes the update of social assistance recipient data no longer in the work of people, but has relying on an artificial intelligence system (AI).
Gus Ipul stressed that all Indonesian people could submit themselves as candidates for social assistance.In fact, you can propose other people who are deserved to accept social assistance.
On the other hand, residents receiving social assistance can also refute when they feel the assistance is wrong.It can all be done through the application or government system technology (Govtech) that is being built with the Ministry of Communication and Digital and the Ministry of Administrative Reform and Bureaucracy Reform.
“Now I can report, many people have begun to reject social assistance. Because they feel no longer entitled to receive social assistance. If many of these movements are carried out by the community, then our data is more accurate, the target will be more precise,” said Socially Saifullah Yusuf.
Chairman of the National Economic Council (DEN) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said he did indeed get a mandate from President Prabowo Subianto to arrange the government digital transformation committee.The committee was formed through Presidential Regulation Number 83 of 2025 which was signed on July 29, 2025.

“We will socialize so that all (the community) who later if distributed Social Assistance will not be on target, so that they report themselves and later the data will be taken again (updating the data of the Bansos recipient),” added Luhut.
Luhut said that the digitalization of social assistance would be expanded throughout Indonesia.He said the Ministry of Home Affairs would conduct socialization related to the project to all districts/cities starting next week.
“After the successfull later Banyuwangi, we will launch throughout Indonesia. So, all we do gradually, multilevel, and continue. Everything is well coordinated and honest once again I am very happy because there is no seeing an disagreement/institution that is not agreeing,” he said.
