26 MBG Poisoning Students, Mamuju Regency Government Sulbar set KLB status

Regency Government (Pemkab) Mamuju, West Sulawesi (Sulbar) established the status of extraordinary events (

) After 26 students in Tapalang District experienced poisoning after eating free nutritious food (
Mbg
).
“Yes (KLB) was determined by the Mamuju Health Office,” Head of West Sulawesi Health Office, Nursyamsi Rahim told reporters on Friday (9/26).
“Until now, of the 26 children who are poisoned MBG, 7 children are still being treated at the Puskesmas. While 2 students who were critical were referred to Mamuju Hospital and Punggawa Malolo Hospital,” he added.

Nursyamsi said 17 students had been sent home after being considered to be cured.
According to Nursyamsi, the team from the West Sulawesi and Mamuju Health Office has conducted an epidemiological investigation, including sampling of food at school and in the MBG kitchen, then handed over to BPOM.
Nursyamsi admitted that his party was still waiting for the results of an examination from BPOM related to the cause of poisoning experienced by 26 students in Mamuju.
“At present, we focus on ensuring all patients get the best treatment. We will compile food in schools,” he concluded.
