17+8 Demands for August Demo, some pass today

The people who were carried in the wave of demonstrations last August, fell on today, Friday (5/9).
The demands were filtered based on public aspirations filtered by the Civil Coalition.Demands are divided into two parts, short -term and long -term demands.
The short -term demand for today.There are 17 points of short -term demands to the DPR Government and the requested political parties to be presented on September 5, 2025.
The points of the demands include the withdrawal of the TNI from civil security and make sure there is no criminalization of demonstrators;freezing the increase in allowances, salaries and new facilities for members of the DPR;budget transparency publication;and fired or sanctions for cadres of political parties who are unethical and triggers public anger
Some have been fulfilled.One of them is the matter of sanctions for political party cadres who are considered unethical and triggers public anger.
Parties such as Nasdem and PAN have deactivated their cadres in the DPR who are considered to have triggered public anger.Nasdem deactivated Sahroni and Nafa Urbach.PAN disabled Eko Patrio and Uya Kuya.PDIP conveyed an apology for the actions of Deddy Sitorus and Awarestuwati.
PAN and Nasdem also asked the DPR to stop their benefits and salaries that were deactivated.The request was processed by the Indonesian Parliament.
Not a few short -term demands that have not been fulfilled by the DPR, political parties, or the government.For example, the release of all August 25-31 demonstrators who are now detained by the police.
Other demands that have not been carried out such as the public transparency publication, the TNI returns to the barracks until the formation of the Affan Kurniawan death investigation team and all the demonstrators who were victims during the August 25-31 action.
Then, there are 8 long -term demands given to the deadline must be fulfilled no later than 31 August 2026.
The demands include a massive DPR reform;Political party reforms, ratified the asset grabbing bill, to evaluating economic and employment policies ranging from PSN, Work Cipta Law to governance and between.
The following is a complete list of 17+8 demands carried by the masses in Demonstrations 25-31 August 2025.
17 Demands with Deadline 5 September
1. Pull the TNI from civil security and make sure there is no criminalization of demonstrators
2. Form of the Investigation Team of Affan Kurniawan’s death, and all demonstrators who were victims of the August 25-31 action
3. Freezing the increase in benefits, salaries and new facilities for members of the DPR
4. Publish a budget transparency
5. Encourage the Honorary Board of the House of Representatives Check the problematic members
6. Fire or sanctions for cadres of political parties who are unethical and triggers public anger
7. Announce the commitment of the party to side with the people
8. Involve party cadres in dialogue spaces with public

11. Catch and legal processes of members or apparatus who order or take repressive actions
12. The TNI immediately returned to the barracks
13. The TNI must not take over the function of the National Police, uphold internal discipline
14. Do not enter the civilian room during the democratic crisis
15. Make sure wages are suitable for workers
16. The government immediately takes an emergency step to prevent mass layoffs
17. Open a dialogue with trade unions for cheap and outsourcing wage solutions
8 additional demands for deadlines 31 August 2026:
1. Clean and Reform Massive DPR;Conduct audits and raise the conditions for members of the DPR.
2. Reform of Political Parties;Political parties must publish financial statements, ensure the supervisory function runs as it should.
3. Fair tax sector reform

7. Strengthening the National Human Rights Commission and other Independent Supervisory Institutions
