The government is targeting 1,000 village/kelurahan red and white cooperatives (
Red and White Kopdes
) began to receive loan disbursement from the State -Owned Bank Association (
Himbara
) next week.
Coordinating Minister for Food Division Zulkifli Hasan said that the program will begin with distribution to 1,000 cooperatives before being expanded to thousands of other villages.

On the same occasion, Minister of Cooperative Ferry Juliantono explained that the technical and institutional preparation had been completed.
He said his ministry along with various related parties had prepared a disbursement system, assistance, to training for cooperative management.
“The point is now by the Minister of Finance (Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa) and the warehouse builder and outlets are ready. Well, the Ministry of Cooperatives who get the mandate to prepare the Kopdes management to be trained in making proposals, then the procedures for disbursement have also been prepared,” he said.
According to Ferry, all Himbara banks will become credit distributors, plus the Revolving Fund Management Institution (LPDB) which also supports.
Each cooperative can apply for a maximum loan of Rp3 billion, with a business proposal that is now simpler after the revised rules.
“There is no problem anymore. Because yesterday there was a problem that must be Musdees first. But by the Ministry of Villages, the implementation of the musdes can be carried out simultaneously. So the obligation must be approval through the Musdesus no longer exists. Then if for the approval of the regional head there is no. So there was no issue anymore,” explained Ferry.
He added that even though there were cooperatives that expressed their difficulties in the submission process, the government and Bank Himbara would provide direct assistance.
“We will also direct the powder bank to be able to train the Kopdes management and assisted by us at the Ministry of Cooperatives and from the Task Force,” he said.
Based on data and between Indonesia, the total loan needs submitted to the Ministry of Finance reached Rp1.06 trillion, consisting of Rp255.9 billion for capital expenditure and Rp808 billion for operational expenditure.
Of the 1,064 cooperatives accompanied, BRI fostered 400 units with the need of Rp400 billion, Mandiri 310 units worth Rp310 billion, BNI 300 units of Rp300 billion, and BSI 54 units of Rp54 billion.
The Minister of Village and Development of Disadvantaged Regions (Mendes Pdt) Yandri Susanto previously said that the disbursement of funds had been delayed because of the unavailability of funds at the Himbara Bank.
“Now only the Red and White Village Cooperative for its business proposal is submitted to the Himbara Bank. Later, God willing, the loan will be disbursed,” he said.
This program targets to reach 80 thousand villages throughout Indonesia.In addition to working capital, loans are also directed for the construction of warehouses and cooperative outlets as a center for food distribution and basic needs of the community.
